Фисико, к сожалению, оказался не готов (стар?) для выступления в топ-командах. Но, думаю, за середняков дядькой-наставником (типа Култхарда) он еще поездит...

Time for me to say something.

CAREER: When Fisico and I got together we BOTH decided what was the strategy for his career. We gave ourselves two more years to land a seat in a top team.In 2004 we signed for Sauber sure that the reputation of the swiss team would get us to where we wanted to go.
Mid season 2004 we had 3 alternatives: 1)stay in Sauber one more year as per our contract 2) go to Williams 3)go to Renault.
Sure that everybody agrees that we took the right decision.
CONTRACT: We signed a TWO year agreement with Renault as WE KNEW the first year would be tough. Same as if we had the opportunity to go to Ferrari with Schumi or at Mc Laren with Kimi, right? Michael is JT's boy as much as Kimi is Dennis'.
THE CAR:The R25 is a great car, but designed to Fernando's style of driving, but we are not complaining. This car enabled us to win one race so far as we went close to win at least another if not for some technical problems. And we are not complaining.Sometimes the R25 has tyre wear problem. Because of the different style of driving, Fernando wears the front, Giancarlo the rear.Again no complaints. Oversteer is a much tougher problem to cope with and this is what happened in Brazil for example, thus explaining the race pace. Very rarely elsewhere Giancarlo's pace has been inferior to Fernando's given the same race strategy. Next year the car will be different, let' wait and see.
THE STRATEGY:
Because of Mc Laren's pace our strategy can be described as a team strategy rather than a driver strategy. This is why Giancarlo is a great team player and highly regarded as such.
THE MONEY:If you think that Giancarlo is staying at Renault for the money, well, my friends you have no idea of what you are talking about. Ten million dollars would not have convinced Fisico to stay at Sauber for example. First we stay at Renault because we want to stay(and we have a contract)but most importantly because for a race driver there is no incentive greater than driving a winning car.
I hope that the above points may have clarified some doubts in your mind.
Please continue to love Giancarlo the way you do now and support him with your magnificent forum.

в интеренет зашел, забыл за собой дверь закрыть, а его из калаша в спину и грохнули!
Да, Кими та ещё кака. В 2004 - 8 вылетов (больше только у Бруни). В 2005 - тоже куча вылетов - то руль отвалится, то двигло сгорит. А в этом году ваще на вере каком-то ездит.
